The Second Week End
Yes I know Panto Season is over, but my two youngest children enjoyed this show I worked on the most and are still playing Jack & the Beanstalk. They saw the show nine times and loved being back stage & getting to know the cast.
Diary Please. . .
The day started with my son getting up early as normal and us having our secret baked bean on toast eating session. The girls do not like the idea and sleep in. I like my beans spicy, but my boy is a big fan of the Heniz Baked Beans. So after finding Sweet Paprika and replacing the malt extract with honey I introduced him to my baked beans and he loved them.
Err You were talking about Panto?
Yes once everyone was up the two youngest put on their favorite tracks from the show "Flying The Flag" danced around for a bit getting ready to play Jack and the Beanstalk that night. (They spent the day with their mom) In the day I got busy doing the Saturday thing, my boy had asked for Spaghetti and meat sauce for dinner so I had to venture into the Meat Market/Butcher to score the ground beef without walking out with a rib-eye steak. Did that, walked passed the Booze in the Super Market. Hmmm? What is missing? Dan,Dan,Dan . . . No need to have a smoke . . . Oh I say . . , Ponder . . . Muse!
So Let's Round This Up. It's the week-end!
OK the eldest was doing her teen age thing and was out with her friends at a roller disco that evening The youngest with me played hard at the park, (Jack and the Beanstalk) in the evening sun. Then on our return to the flat, Dinner where I did not even put a finger in the meat sauce. The roller disco went well and at the moment I have a sensible teen who came home on time & kept her phone on. The flat was turned into stage set and at some point we all went to bed. Gave Vine a rest (side note)
Thanks for the read, a side note, I have put on a few pounds and will need to address with with exercise and cutting down on the rich sauces for the beans. But that is not important right now.
